Why Repower

Repower vs. Rebuild

When a rebuild costs half of new and still leaves you with aging wiring, mounts, and electronics, new power is often the smarter long-term move.

Factory Warranty & Reliability

A new engine means modern electronics, current emissions compliance, and a factory-backed warranty instead of another season of chasing gremlins.

Better Fuel Economy & Range

Today's four-strokes and direct-injected outboards burn significantly less fuel and run quieter than engines built 15+ years ago.

Protects Your Resale Value

Documented new power with remaining warranty is one of the few upgrades that reliably returns money at resale.

Not sure which way to go? We inspect your current engine and give you both numbers in writing, so you can compare a rebuild against a repower side by side.

The Process

From First Call to First Throttle

A repower is a project, not a repair. Here is exactly how we run it, so there are no surprises and no downtime you did not plan for.

Free On-Board Consultation

We come to your dock, review how you actually run the boat, and confirm the horsepower, shaft length, and brand that fit.

Engine Selection & Written Quote

Mercury, Yamaha, Suzuki, and Volvo Penta options compared side by side, with a firm line-item quote before anything is ordered.

Deposit & Delivery

We order your power and lock in the install date. Most packages arrive in three to six weeks depending on model availability.

Removal & Systems Prep

Old power is pulled, the transom is inspected, and fuel lines, battery cables, and helm wiring are prepped for the new installation.

Rigging & Installation

Mounting, steering, throttle and shift controls, gauges, harnesses, and the correct propeller — all torqued and calibrated to spec.

Sea Trial & Handoff

We put it on the water with you, set break-in guidance, register the warranty, and haul away the old engine.

Good to Know

Manufacturer pricing is updated throughout the year, so we confirm the current factory price for your exact model before you commit. Your quote is locked once you approve it.

Deposits secure your build slot. Lead times vary by brand and horsepower, and we tell you the realistic window up front rather than after the order is placed.

Old engines are removed and disposed of as part of the job — you will not be left figuring out what to do with a 500 lb block on the dock.
